Summary  

    This video tells the story of a girl named Tanvi Padala who talks about self love. The video begins with Tanvi talking about her struggle to deal with her biggest insecurities, which are her body, hair, and skin color. She also talks about the doubts she has experienced in facing the tests of some fields that she considers to be far above her. She could only see the negative side of every achievement. She said that we need to pay attention to what we can do well. Loving yourself is part of success itself.

    

Vocabularies/language expressions learnt :

1. Dove = a person, especially a politician, who prefers peace and discussion to war

2. Credit = an arrangement that you make, with a shop for example, to pay later for something you buy

3. Accomplishment = an impressive thing that is done or achieved after a lot of work

Activities : What did you do? what scores do you get

    In this listening activity, I watched the video just once. I watched half of the video by reading the subtitles and the other half by using the subtitles. I also wrote down vocabulary that I didn't understand, then paused the video. I look up the difficult words and understand their meaning.

   

Benefits : What benefits did you learn from this topic?

    I studied the accent used by the speaker in the video. Perhaps because the speaker is young, the language is still very simple. I also learned some vocabulary that I had not previously learned.

    

Self-Assessment

The speed was OK.

This helped my listening skills. I think my listening skills are improving. I need to improve. listening to main ideas/listening to details/listening to numbers/listening to fast speech/listening to connected speech/listening for a long time/listening to other accents/my vocabulary/my pronunciation.
