Activities: What did you do? What scores did you get
I watched a movie, still on subtitles. However, every now and then I ignore the subtitles, and try to practice my listening skills. This is something I usually do. If I find difficult words, I usually write them down first. And when the film was over, I started figuring out the meaning of those difficult words.
Benefits: What benefits did you learn from this topic?
In this listening activity, I studied the American accent used by the characters in the film. Also some vocabulary that I did not understand the meaning of before. In addition, there are many moral messages from the film, which I can then apply in my life. The language used tends to be less formal, and that reinforces my insight.
